Her Version:
Jon and I met while working at Best Buy in August of 2004. Jon had just recently
moved to Washington from North Carolina to be with his family and didn't know
many people in the area. I had just recently moved back from college and was
looking to make new friends.
Jon wasn't really enjoying his time in Washington
and in a ploy to get him to hang out with me I told him maybe he just wasn't
going to the right places. As we talked and got to know each other a little
better over the next few weeks we decided to make plans to do something. I
took him out to a few places in the area and we spent a lot of time talking
and getting to know each other.
After just over 2 years of dating, on Christmas
Eve, before we went to my parent's house for dinner Jon asked me to marry him.
It was after a long morning of last minute shopping and he was such a nervous wreck
all day he had to get it out. My first reaction was "did you already talk to
my dad?" I was completely shocked and did not expect this at all. Obviously I
said yes and the fun adventure of wedding planning began!

His Version:
Kim and I met while working for Best Buy. She caught my eye the first time I
saw her. While working together I found that she was very smart and funny. We
started talking and then dating and before you know it I fell in love with her.
The past 2 1/2 years have been the best time of my life. The week before
Christmas I went out to find the perfect ring, after 1 stop I had found it and
bought it right away. I carried it with me everywhere to work, home, and to the
bathroom.
I knew I was going to ask her to marry me on Christmas day but first
I had to ask her dad. That was one of the most stressfull and scariest things
I've ever had to do. But I guess I really didn't have anything to worry about.
He didn't freak out too bad. Just kidding. Her dad wasn't too suprised when
I asked. Now all I had to do was ask her on Christmas day, but I just could not wait.
After a day of crazy shopping I popped the question on Christmas Eve. Without a
doubt she has made me a better person. Without Kim in my life I don't think I would
be as happy as I am. She is a very special person in my life. I love her dearly
and will always love her.
